Readers love how these Chai Tea Eggnog Cookies bring together a great blend of spicy and sweet—so much so that some plan to make it again and again, while some already have! However often this cookie compels you to bake in the kitchen, the outcome is always the same: smiles, and satisfied eaters savoring the great tastes of sugar and chai and everything nice.
Hello, this recipe looks awesome! I’m planning to double the recipe and make them for Teacher Appreciation week this week. Can I make the dough ahead and let it chill overnight? Thanks in advance for the info!
I made this tonight and it was awesome! I didn’t have flank steak so used New York sirloin I also only had regular soy and it was a tad salty even out added salt. I didn’t have fresh ginger either so used ground…. will make again for sure!
The first easy chicken bake I made was this Fajita Chicken Bake.  I was amazed.  It was so easy to make, and equally easy to clean up since it was all made in one dish.  But the best part is that despite how easy it was, it was still DELICIOUS and HEALTHY!  I felt like I was finally winning at something.
This recipe is amazing! I made the meatballs for a housewarming party and literally everyone loved them! My only modification was not using 100% of the tomato paste and sauce, so that the tomato flavor wouldn’t overwhelm the meatballs. But besides that, I followed everything else exactly, and this is now one of my top go-to recipes to prepare! Thank you!
A step up from the typical veggie burger, this meatless main is prepared with mashed pinto beans and kale and then stacked on a whole-wheat English muffin with lettuce, tomato and onion. Fries are a must, of course — in this case, delicious sweet potato wedges. The healthy dessert: peaches in yogurt.
I tried this meatball recipe tonight and loved it! They were amazing! I’m saving the recipe for next time… For me I did not add the rice but they were perfect.. I also bakked them instead of frying.. Thank you for this recipe! Xx
Get ready to light the way for Santa’s sleigh by making these sweet holiday cookies. Start with refrigerated sugar cookie dough to make these adorable reindeer cookies. Kids can help place Rudolph’s eyes, mouth, and antlers, made of cinnamon candies, chocolate mini morsels, and pretzel twists. Some readers enjoy these cookies so much that they have become favorites. In the words of one reviewer, “I have been making these cookies for at least 15 years.” Proving that simple and delicious means the same thing—and that they also mean fun—Rudolph’s Christmas Sugar Cookies are one of our favorite, and best-loved, cookies.
My very finicky 9 year old decided that we MUST make meatballs for dinner tonight. I googled ” Best Meatball Recipe” and this one came up. I think this one is the winning one in my opinion. Nothing but rave reviews! I’m excited to use the herbs fresh from my garden!! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe!
But what really pushes these delights over the edge is one of the final steps in the recipe: “press remaining chocolate into cookies.” This happens right after the warm delights come out of the oven. You’re supposed to wait 15 minutes for the cookies to cool completely after that. Good luck.
To brown the meatballs, heat olive oil in a heavy pot or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs 8 at a time, turning to brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel after each batch. Set meatballs aside.
Very moist, light, and tasty. I substituted fresh chopped basil for the parsley and added 4 cloves of garlic and one large, finely chopped onion to the recipe. I didn’t find them too salty. The best 26 meatballs I ever made.
I would add an egg to help bind them. Also, I have gone to oven baking my meatballs for any recipe. I line a baking sheet with foil, spray it with a little Pam, make 1 and a half inch meatballs and bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. And just toss the foil so no clean up.
My daughter in law is nursing and can’t do dairy. How would I alter this if I left out the cheese? What could I use as a replacement? Would they be ok if I simply left the cheese out and didn’t replace it with any other ingredient?
This elegant pasta dinner will have your family thinking you worked in the kitchen all day long. The secret, though, is refrigerated ravioli and jarred alfredo sauce that’s heated with white wine, chopped fresh tomatoes, and fresh basil. Top with grated Parmesan cheese for a tasty finishing touch.
Remove the cover, add the garlic, and increase the heat to medium high. Cook the garlic for half a minute, then add the tomatoes (if using whole canned, break up with your fingers as you add them to the pan.) Add the tomato paste and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
Fantastic cookies!!!! I haven’t made peanut butter cookies for at least a year and upon tasting one of these, I just kept going and ate 3. Then my 19 yo DS and his girlfriend came back from classes and they also just loved these cookies. I made 1/2 of the recipe, but it still made 30 cookies using my cookie scoop. The only change I made was to add a few shakes of sea salt from my shaker and rather than rolling them into balls and then in sugar, I just dipped my fork into the sugar before making the marks in my scoops, much easier. Mine cooked perfectly in 7 minutes. They are slightly crisp on the edges and soft in the middle, just perfect. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe that I will definitely be repeating.
Making Mexican lasagna means you are getting the best of both flavor worlds on your table at one time, and this delicious ground beef recipe shows you how to put it all together. To let your lasagna go Mexican you’ll be layering ground beef and sausage with corn tortillas, tomatoes, green chiles, enchilada sauce, and cheese. It tastes even more delicious than it sounds! And since this is a one of our favorite quick-fix suppers, this ground beef sensation is a convenient weeknight dinner that the kids will love as much as the grownups. So take your pasta south of the border and start layering your Mexican lasagna now.
CHILL THE DOUGH. I know. It’s annoying. It takes a long time. But you MUST. Otherwise these will spread and not be thick and gooey. Scoop baseball sized balls of dough and chill them at LEAST 4 hours (or overnight) before baking. You won’t be sorry. (Good things come to those that wait!)
These were absolutely delicious. I used bother teaspoon and tablespoon scoops instead of 1/4 cup. My daughter said I should switch my chocolate chip recipe to this one. My husband suggested using raisins instead of chocolate chips which I will try next. Thanks!
These are a twist on Austria’s linzer torte. The tart has a nutty crust, a preserve filling, and lattice top―these cookies have a fitting Southern lineage because it adds in toasted chopped pecans. You get all the goodness of the traditional torte, plus the added flavor of the pecans. They bring in a delicate nuttiness, and add just a little fragrance to the hints of ground cloves and ground cinnamon. There’s that suggestion of tart freshness from the lemon rind as well. All these flavors are subtle, but you will love them. Topped with powdered sugar, these Linzer Cookies bring a little sweet crunch to every single bite.
Inspired by the classic Greek comfort dish known as pastitsio, this pasta casserole uses fresh and flavorful ingredients. It mixes the classic flavors of ground beef, onion, and garlic, with oregano and two rich cheeses: Parmesan and mozzarella. So bake a dish of this comfort-food favorite, and in under 30 minutes you can settle in for a warm, delicious, family meal. For an easy weeknight dinner, you can even make this ahead and freeze it.
That is awesome to hear!! Thank you so much for sharing! Congratulations on 5 children and working! That is an accomplishment! I am so happy it is loved by all. Thank you so much for following along with me! XOXO

I also opted not to make the Paul Bunion size cookies. I used a regular-size, spring-loaded ice cream scoop. I can’t find the “nutritional” value of these cookies, but suffice it to say, the more delicious something is, the more of it you are apt to consume. Best to exercise restraint and making them smaller aids in that effort.
Keep in mind that sour cream may curdle if it boils so the sauce is thickened and removed from the heat before it is added. If you don’t have sour cream on hand, Greek yogurt is a good substitute (or if you just prefer it).
You’re awesome, Michelle! I’m so happy your hard work (4 lbs!!!) was rewarded with stellar results, and I appreciate the feedback. They freeze beautifully, by the way, so you can look forward to effortless meals in the near future!
These tender, oversize pork-and-beef meatballs are stuffed into a warm hero roll with melted provolone cheese and topped with Matt Neal’s own chunky tomato sauce. As a shortcut, feel free to substitute six cups of jarred sauce.
Lobster fra diavolo is a restaurant favorite, but a version made with shrimp is more practical, and economical, for home cooks. We start ours by marinating the shrimp in baking soda to give them a snappy crispness; reserving the shrimp shells and sautéing them infuses the oil with their flavor. Adding clam juice to a sauce of garlic, chili flakes, and canned tomatoes also heightens the dish’s briny notes, and we like to splash in some brandy at the end for extra richness.
These cookie recipes are perfect for baking with kids, showing off at your friend’s cookie exchange, or just enjoying on the couch after a long day. But don’t take my word for it – start with #1 and work your way down. We’ve got some baking to do, friends!
