This meal was quick, easy and inexpensive…and it turned out Delicious. Only adjustment I made was adding crushed  red pepper, no need for PF Changs when you can make this at home. Thank you for the great recipe, my family loved it!!
So, my wife is on a weird diet due to alternative cancer treatments. Currently cannot have any wheat flour, and no dairy. So I have some chickpea noodles and grass-fed hamburger. Also have organic broth. Trying to think of how to make this tasty. We can use coconut and almond flour. Any suggestions.

This is pure comfort food. I really love this recipe. I’ve made this a few times and when I’m in a rush I use a good jarred sauce like Rao’s or Victoria and it makes a great, quick week-night meal. I have to admit that I skip the step of soaking the breadcrumbs and squeezing them out. My other change is that I use panko breadcrumbs which gives them a very light texture. I throw all the meatball ingredients together and mix it by hand until everything is distributed and then quickly make meatballs. I get the sauce heated up while I’m assembling the meatballs and then put them in to simmer for 20 minutes or so. Quick and delicious!
Make broth with a few richly flavored ingredients that tastes like it has simmered for hours: oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce, fresh ginger and brown sugar. Simmer vegetables in the broth, then serve with thinly sliced grilled sirloin.

If you need to cook the steak in batches because your pan isn’t big enough do that rather than crowding the pan, you want to get a good sear on the steak and if you crowd the pan your steak with steam instead of sear.

This is the second time I have made this recipe. We love the sauce. It is simple but rich. Thank you to the reviewer who suggested using San Marzano tomatoes. I have been making my own tomato sauce for a long time and using these tomatoes vs. regular diced tomatoes make a huge difference i flavor. The only thing I really changed was adding half the butter. I also used an immersion blender after simmering. The meatballs were delicious although a little salty on their own (I pan fried some). They were moist and tender. I subbed half of the breadcrumbs for almond meal. My family loves the recipe and it’s been put into the rotation.

this exceeded my expectations! yum! used half a cup of whole milk and half a cup of half and half. I didn’t have broth, so I substituted white wine. I added salt and white pepper to taste. I also added a dash of garlic powder to taste, at the end, to emphasize the garlic flavor. I ate this on top of pasta with peas! tastes great with and without the peas mixed in the sauce. this was quick and easy to make. the sauce came together nicely. the consistency was very creamy. my only complaint is that my stomach isn’t big enough to eat more!
Wow I cooked this steak and I have say it came out perfect. To be honest with you I nearly cut down on the sugar as I thought that it would be to sweet. But I’m glad that I cooked it to the recipe. Thanks for all your recipes I have HD some wonderful meals since I got onto your site. Oh and yes I used dark brown sugar as well.
