“easy starters for dinner parties”

You don’t need a lot of time to make a baked pasta—this comforting dish takes only about 30 minutes. Cooking the mushrooms in sausage fat and finishing them with soy sauce and lemon juice gives them a big umami punch. We finish the dish with a generous layer of seasoned bread crumbs and crisp it up under the broiler.
My sauce was SO thin!! I followed directions exactly. Maybe I didn’t let my butter, flour, and beef broth mixture thicken enough before adding cream…? I whisked it for at least 5 minutes before adding the cream though.
Bake chicken breasts in a delectably rich sauce made of butter, dry Italian salad dressing mix, wine, golden mushroom soup and cream cheese with chives. Serve over angel hair pasta for a dish that is fit for your most elegant dinner parties.
These meatballs sound wonderful. I love it when meatballs are tender. Sometimes they are just dreadful – almost like little rubber balls. I bet your slow cooker method, along iwth not overmixing, solves that problem. This is my first visit to your site, and I will be back!
These indulgent bars are filled with toasted chopped pecans and semisweet chocolate morsels and topped with a warm caramel frosting. What more can you ask out of a brownie? In this case you can ask for even more chocolate, since these have semisweet chocolate squares, as well as squares of unsweetened chocolate. They also have the toasty, nutty flavor and aroma of toasted pecans. If you would like to make these in advance, or if you have leftovers, you can freeze these in an airtight container for up to a month.
Left out the fennel, substituted Italian seasoning for the oregano, and added shredded mozzarella to the top for the last 5 min. The whole family loved them! Will definitely make again, and will probably take some of the recommendations for the diced onion and garlic next time.
Please be careful when printing this recipe, it printed off 10 pages before the actual recipe! What a waste of paper! And there was still more to come ,  why do you feel the need to send all of this information, tasting the recipe is enough to tell us wether or not we like it not the whole of  the UK Very angry at the waste.
This is such a delightful recipe. The sesame oil makes this dish!!! I must confess. The first time I made this, I used leftover cooked, thin spaghetti which needed to be used. Family loved the dish. The 2nd time I made this, I used rice and was asked, “Where’s the noodles?” Go figure. I might go back to noodles!!!!!! Delicious either way. Thank you for sharing.

A handy boxed cake mix hurries along the preparation of these chewy cookies studded with chips and raisins. “I make them for our family reunion each year, and they always get rave reviews,” says Leslie Henke of Louisville, Colorado.
I do have one question — do you drain the beef fat, even when using the 90% lean? I first used 85% lean and drained the fat. The second time, I did not drain the beef fat with the 90% lean. So please let me know what you do. Thank you!
Rather than adding more extract, I would just sub in peppermint extract for part of the vanilla extract. Since it’s so strong and you’re using mint chips, I’d only add about 1/2-1 teaspoon of peppermint. Hope that helps! =)
“I have a hard time getting excited by beef,” Kristin Kimball confesses. “We do a lot of ground meat, and I get tired of coming up with new ideas for it.” This luscious potpie—with its buttery cheddar crust and filling mixed with parsnips, carrots and peas—would be a perfect addition to her repertoire.
DoubleTree chocolate chip cookies are amazing, but this chocolate chip cookie recipe is even BETTER than the DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe!! It’s gooey and full of chocolate, oats, and walnuts. Plus, these are HUGE cookies!
Ground beef has been put through a meat grinder, and is actually an emulsion of meat, and fat. That is why you see it advertised as “xx% lean” ground beef, because the rest is usually added fat. They have been forced through a metal die with many holes in it, then quickly sheared off by a rotating blade.  This process causes some heat to build up from friction, and if they do not keep it cold, the batch could be ruined. By changing the size of the holes in the metal die, different coarseness of grind can be achieved. But ground beef is a much more homogenized product than minced meat, and holds together better in a burger patty.
I just made these last night and they are amazing!!! My boyfriend loved them. I used semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate, and butterscotch chips and they came out so good. I also added some sea salt at the end because I wanted them sweet and salty. Such a great and easy recipe. I’m never buying pre-made dough again!
My daughter in law is nursing and can’t do dairy. How would I alter this if I left out the cheese? What could I use as a replacement? Would they be ok if I simply left the cheese out and didn’t replace it with any other ingredient?

Lovers of the classically rich and creamy carbonara will swoon over our low-calorie version of the pasta favorite. Turkey bacon and low-fat evaporated milk cut fat and calories, while nutrient-rich veggies and multigrain pasta amp up the health factor.
Sugar cookies that keep their shape require refrigeration of the dough. Once the dough is made, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This allows the fats in the dough to re-solidify which prevents spreading during baking. Roll the refrigerated dough out 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut out your desired shapes and place on a prepared baking sheet. If you want the cookies to retain their shape as perfectly as possible, return the cut cookies to the fridge for at least 30 minutes more before baking.
In 4 minutes, start tasting. When done, a string of spaghetti should be springy when pulled on. To the tooth, there should be some resistance but not so much that the pasta sticks in the teeth. As soon as pasta is done, drain immediately in a large colander (lidded models are the best). Shake pasta to stop cooking but don’t shake dry. And no rinsing!
These treats have a split personality: think of Layered Eggnog Blondies as 1 part blondie, and 1 part eggnog cheesecake. The sum of the two is delicious. The eggnog cheesecake filling will have you thinking that this cookie can be the perfect holiday treat, so you could plan ahead and make a double batch. You’ll love the flavors of ground nutmeg and cinnamon. These are simply delectable with a big dollop of fresh whipped cream right on top. Layered Eggnog Blondies keep well, so you can refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week.
This is a good, standard chili, with lots of ground beef, tomatoes, kidney and pinto beans, and onions. It needs to simmer for 90 minutes on the stove, or can be made in a slow cooker and left to simmer all day.
You’re reading the recipe correctly: There green grapes in this dish. Their juicy, crisp, and bright sweetness complements the tomatoes and provides a nice contrast to feta’s creamy tang. Besides the pan-grilled asparagus shown, any green vegetable sautéed or grilled with a little garlic, salt, and pepper makes a good side―try spinach, broccoli, or even kale.
This meal was quick, easy and inexpensive…and it turned out Delicious. Only adjustment I made was adding crushed  red pepper, no need for PF Changs when you can make this at home. Thank you for the great recipe, my family loved it!!
Perfection!! So yummy and they are beautiful! I didn’t have baking soda so I did a little research on Google and said I could use baking powder just triple the amount I wanted to try these cookies so desperately I use baking powder 3 teaspoons and they turned out magnificently. Oh and I had some white chips left over from another project so I tossed those in. This is now my only chocolate chip cookie recipe! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Nom nom! I love these meatballs..I just added half a pack of onion soup mix to the mixture cuz I didn’t have any onions..turned out so good! Also served mine over white jasmine rice instead of noodles, with some fresh green beans..delish!
Made this tonight and it was excellent! I used ground sirloin and 1 tsp of bacon grease…always have some handy…did not drain. I used baby portobellos and 1 tbsp of Worcester sauce. used 3 beef bouillon cubes instead of 2 to up the beef flavor. I will make this again and again. Served w egg noodles and roasted brussel sprouts.
