“homemade oat bars benefits of eating cornmeal porridge”

Cook the pasta al dente (1 or 2 minutes shorter than package directions specify) so it holds its shape when tossed with the vegetables and vinaigrette. Ripe for riffs, the salad is also delicious with cheese-filled tortellini.
[…] recipes that everyone needs in their life. In my mind that list of must-have recipes includes perfect chocolate chip cookies, the best banana bread ever, a really solid bread recipe, pulled (insert whatever meat you have) […]
This is a good, standard chili, with lots of ground beef, tomatoes, kidney and pinto beans, and onions. It needs to simmer for 90 minutes on the stove, or can be made in a slow cooker and left to simmer all day.
My favorite Italian deli is about twenty five miles away and I was craving a meatball sandwich. I found this recipe and decided to go for it. I’m half way through my first sandwich and I’m happy I did. I’m not sure my version is quite as good as the deli (they really do an excellent job on everything) but knowing I have a good number of meatballs in the refrigerator whenever I want them 😉
Caprese-lovers won’t be able to deny the Italian flavor in our delicious pasta dish. It’s got all your favorites of the classic salad, including mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. Editor’s tip: Add some sausage for a boost of heartiness.
The only chocolate chip cookie recipe I ever use is one my Aunt Vicki gave me years and years ago, it is the absolute best choc. chip cookie I have ever had. Until today. I mean, these cookies are something out of a dream. Sorry, Aunt Vicki. :p
These great tasting Swedish meatballs are a family favorite. We like them with mashed potatoes, but cooked noodles or rice would be excellent as well. They make an excellent appetizer, as well. Serve them buffet-style (smorgasbord) from a chafing dish or slow cooker.
Tried these with a mixture of Byson and Grass fed, also used apple sauce in place of cheese, they are amazing. Double batch, half with marinara and the other with grilled veggies topped with Parmesan….Thanks so much for sharing.
Very finely chopping onion, mushrooms and carrots in the food processor is not only fast–it makes the vegetables hard to detect for picky eaters. They also form the base for the sauce of this ground beef skillet supper. Make it a meal: Serve with a green salad.
Then, I will use my Easy Greasy™ Colander to drain and catch the grease, and then follow that up by rinsing the grease with water.  This makes my meal lower in bad fats and much healthier for my family!
I am making this today also your cheese bread recipe so easy and tastes like takeout. This is my pantry meal so I am using what I have. I added jalep. peppers, roasted red and orange peppers from earlier this week and used some italian pasta I snagged at dollar tree last month. I am thinking this would make a great mexican pasta dish if you take out the basil and add a chiptole pepper in adobo sauce maybe some smoked paprika, chili powder and cumin if you wish.
You might call yourself a shepherd too if it meant you would get a dinner this good. Our version of a Shepherd’s Pie is certainly a Southern dinner classic. Instead of mashed potatoes we use scalloped potatoes for the crust, cut with a mandolin slicer—but a knife will work just as well. For the filling, lean ground chuck is perfect, while red wine will add flavors that are rich and bold. Our Shepherd’s Pie has a dash of Worcestershire Sauce, as well as a hearty measure of English peas. This dish will keep you warm on a cool night, but it is fresh and delicious at any time. Round up your appetite and enjoy our Shepherd’s Pie.
Add the fresh spinach and gently stir it into the sauce until it has wilted (3-5 minutes). Add the pasta and stir until it is well coated in the creamy tomato sauce. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper as needed. Serve warm.
In sauce, on a stick — we’ll eat meatballs six ways till Sunday, and then in leftovers after that. Our collection goes beyond the classic Italian-American and Swedish varieties to include the flavors of Greece, Mexico, India and more. Go ahead — have a ball.
Made this tonight for dinner last minute as I had shrimp and linguini. Came out great and I loved that you only need a few ingredients that are usually on hand. I used arugula as I did not have spinach and added fresh mini tomatoes from the garden. Delicious!

There are two places where you may have gone wrong. Did you beat the egg mixture for 5 minutes on high? That thickens the batter and provides some of the structure for the cookies. Cutting the mixing time short would result in a thin cookie batter. The other place is step 7. Did you chill the cookie dough? It should be the consistency of a thick brownie batter going into the fridge, and then it firms up even more during the chilling time. Black rice has the same antioxidants as blueberries. The grain is loaded with anthocyanin, the antioxidant responsible for the inky blue color of blueberries and acai, and it has a toasted nutty flavor — some even say it smells like freshly baked bread.
“Homemade meatballs are a very easy to make, and since we skip the very messy step of pan-frying these before they hit the sauce, it becomes downright simple. Here I use a standard half-beef/half-pork mixture. You can substitute water or beef broth for the milk, if preferred.”
Here’s a true crowd pleaser: pasta shells in a simple sauce of ground beef, tomatoes, and pesto, layered with mozzarella and Parmesan and baked until bubbly. Fusilli or orecchiette would work well here, too.
Cooking Sake and Mirin add incredible flavour to a good Teriyaki sauce and are pretty much essential. They are both two types of rice wines that you will find at regular grocery stores or supermarket chains (usually found in the Asian section or isles). If you can’t find them at your store, Asian stores have a larger (and cheaper) selection. Having said this, sake can be substituted with a Chinese cooking wine OR dry sherry. Mirin can’t really be substituted, but if you’re desperate, most people comment that apple cider vinegar does the trick. I can’t guarantee because when it comes to Teriyaki, I only make mine with those two wines. If you’re worried about the alcohol, it does evaporate when cooked!
