Unsalted butter will make cookies flat… I made chocolate chip cookies over the holidays…. one recipe I used regular soft stick butter and second time I did unsalted butter… one batch was fluffy.. and the unsalted ones came out flat… did the unsalted ones because my husband recently had a heart attack..

Searched for a recipe for stuff I had in the kitchen so I didnt have to go to the store. I came across this recipe. I only had a can of Hunts Spagetti Sauce in the cupboard so I was worried how it would turn out (we prefer Ragu). I shouldnt have worried because it turned out delicious!! I added a little more of the seasonings and a bit of sugar to the sauce. So yummy and kid approved. Thank you for a great easy meal!!
Here’s a true crowd pleaser: pasta shells in a simple sauce of ground beef, tomatoes, and pesto, layered with mozzarella and Parmesan and baked until bubbly. Fusilli or orecchiette would work well here, too.
I reduced 1/4 cup of sugar to half, 1/8 cup instead. My grown sons like salty food, so I added half tsp salt. I also use powdered garlic, ginger, and onion. Steamed cabbage can go with this dish as well.

I made the meatloaf first (with more spice and ketchup and tomato paste on top) then put slices of it in the bottom of the pan, instead of raw meat. Also added sliced green onions on top. It was amazing! Everyone loved it at the potluck I brought it to!!!!
Made these according to recipe. Will definitely leave the rice out next time. Otherwise, good flavor. Maybe amend the recipe to not include rice? I think it would stick fine with the egg and flour alone. Still added rice because I thought maybe you were on to something!
I followed the recipe as written, and this dish was fantastic! It received a thumbs-up from everyone at the table. It is a great “Meatless Monday” meal, and I would prepare it for company, as well. It is full of flavor, simple to prepare, and offers the option of adding meat, if desired.

I generally have most of the ingredients on hand so it’s easy to make last minute. I have added extra veggies, snap peas, peppers, cabbage and it has always turned out great! Something different to do with hamburger meat.

Thanks! I’m not sure. I’ve frozen lots of drop cookie doughs, and they work well. Since this one is so close to brownie batter in consistency, I’m just not sure. I think it would freeze fine, but I’m not sure whether it would start to run as it thaws or not. I wish I had a better answer for you!
